Function as Director of Program Development to establish clinic operations that meet Community Mental Health standards and evolve the programs to meet Department of Psychiatry goals of education, training, research, and public service.

Directs, coordinates and manages treatment team of multidisciplinary staff with regards to care and treatment of adolescents and adults experiencing early onset symptoms of psychosis. Provides family psycho-education and support networks. Interfaces clinical treatment program in alliance with research program. Provides intake services, cognitive behavioral and supportive psychotherapy and psycho-education services for both programs. Created outpatient milieu environment conducive to enhancement of ongoing recovery process. Worked with patients on an individual and group therapy basis.  Was instrumental in developing programming for the relapse track and extended care track.  Demonstrated competency in dynamics of chemical dependency and co-dependence among adolescents and young adults.  Assisted with resolving issues and strengthening program of recovery.

Additional responsibilities included providing quarterly reports, case management follow-up and referral as well as public relations and outside marketing of the program.

Functioned as a member of a specialized treatment team on the Juvenile Psychosomatic Inpatient Unit.  Demonstrated competence in areas of psychodynamics of pre-adolescent, adolescent and young adult populations.  The scope of the work involved providing care and group treatment for this population in a short-term crisis intervention and management setting.  Group therapy provided to assist patients to develop and express appropriate behaviors and experiences in place of those, which hindered normal development.  Approaches drawn from cognitive-behavioral, patient centered and milieu modified therapy.  Provided structure, guidance and support.
